NPORT Staffing is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and qualified Occupational Therapists (OTS) to provide high-quality occupational therapy services in New York City Public Schools (NYC DOE) for the 2026-2027 school year.

We have opportunities available in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens for OTs who are passionate about working with children and helping students achieve greater independence, participation and success in the school environment.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Employer: NPORT Staffing
• Setting: NYC Public Schools | Department of Education (DOE)
• Locations: Brookly, Manhattan, & Queens, New York
• School Year: 2026-2027
• Employment: Full-time and Part-time opportunities may be available
• Schedule: school-based schedule aligned with the NYC school Calendar
• Caseload: school-age students with a variety of developmental educational, and functional needs

Key responsibilities:

• Provide Occupational therapy services to students in a school-based environment.
• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments as required
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions
• Provide direct and/or consultative OT services based on student needs
• Support students with fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills
• Help students improve their ability to participate successfully in classroom and school activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education professionals, school administrators, families, and other members of the educational planning when applicable.
• Monitor student progress and modify interventions as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and required student records.
• Follow NYC DOE policies, school procedures, and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program
• Current New York State Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to practice in New York
• NBCOT Certification preferred/required as applicable
• Pediatric or school-based occupational therapy experience preferred
• Strong communications, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, student-centered care.
