JOB TITLE: Business Development Representative DEPARTMENT: Office REPORTS TO: VP of Business Development/VP of Corporate Sales ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other assignments, projects, and duties may be required: Business development representatives are responsible for expanding a company's customer base. They use prospecting strategies to identify prospects and they initiate the first outreach with potential customers. Their goal is to help book meetings and fill the pipelines for the sales team. • Expanding a company's customer base. • Contacting potential clients through cold calls and emails • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services • Build long-term trusting relationships with clients • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market • Create strategies to identify prospects and they initiate the first outreach with potential customers. • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction. • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs. • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients. • Promote the company's products/services addressing or predicting clients' objectives. • Report to the Vice President of Business Development/Director of Corporate Sales on a (weekly/monthly/quarterly) basis. • Research target demographics, economic trends, customer needs and interests and other data that can be used in creating strategies for business development • Investigate different organizational theories and provide suggestions for ways to optimize business growth by utilizing core competencies and employee strengths • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services. • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends • Continuously improve through feedback
