As an OR RN, you will: Perform nursing duties within the Main Operating Room , supporting patients and surgical teams throughout the perioperative experience Scrub and/or circulate as part of a highly skilled interdisciplinary team Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, technologists, and support staff to ensure safe, high - quality patient care Uphold the highest standards of nursing practice, patient safety, and professional accountability Engage in continuous learning and professional development within a complex surgical environment Why join UVA Health? As part of UVA Health's Perioperative Services, nurses are supported with: A structured OR onboarding pathway using AORN's Periop 101 curriculum We welcome applications from Operating Room RNs with both scrub and circulating experience, as this background is strongly preferred. For candidates who do not yet have this experience, completion of our Periop 101 training program will be required. The course is offered 3-4 times per year with limited enrollment, so we encourage interested applicants to take this into consideration when applying. Our next available Periop101 Cohort is March 1, 2027.
