We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong understanding of microservices architecture, contract testing, and modern software delivery practices . The ideal candidate will work closely with development teams to establish, implement, and maintain contract testing strategies that ensure reliable communication and compatibility between independently developed microservices.

This role requires hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CDK and Terraform , along with a solid understanding of trunk-based development and CI/CD practices. Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) is highly preferred.

• Collaborate closely with application development teams to implement and enable contract testing across microservices.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated contract testing strategies to validate service-to-service interactions and API compatibility.
• Integrate contract testing into CI/CD pipelines to identify breaking changes early and improve deployment confidence.
• Apply microservices architecture principles to support loosely coupled, independently deployable services.
• Work with development teams to define service contracts, API expectations, and consumer-provider compatibility requirements.
• Leverage Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles to understand service boundaries, bounded contexts, and interactions between services.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools, including AWS CDK and Terraform.
• Support automated provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure across development, testing, and production environments.
• Implement and promote trunk-based development practices, including short-lived branches, frequent integration, automated validation, and continuous delivery.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Identify and resolve integration issues, service compatibility problems, and deployment bottlenecks.
• Establish engineering best practices for automated testing, infrastructure management, release management, and developer productivity.
• Partner with developers, architects, QA engineers, and platform teams to improve software quality and delivery reliability.

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, Software Engineer, or in a similar engineering role.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture , distributed systems, and service-to-service communication.
• Hands-on experience with contract testing across microservices and API-driven applications.
• Experience with AWS CDK for defining and provisioning cloud infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Practical experience with trunk-based development , continuous integration, and automated delivery workflows.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of REST APIs, API contracts, backward compatibility, and service versioning.
• Experience with Git-based version control and modern branching strategies.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work directly with development teams to improve testing practices and software delivery processes.

• Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) , including bounded contexts, domain models, and service boundaries.
• Familiarity with contract testing frameworks and tools such as Pact or Spring Cloud Contract.
• Experience with consumer-driven contract testing and provider verification.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application architectures.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized microservices.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Knowledge of automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, component, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience implementing quality gates and automated contract verification within pull request and deployment workflows.

We are looking for a hands-on engineer who understands how microservices interact and can work directly with developers to make contract testing a standard part of the software delivery lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines strong DevOps and Infrastructure as Code expertise with practical knowledge of API contracts, automated testing, and modern development workflows.
