Staff Accountant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Enters invoices into ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.

• Schedules, Processes, and records payments to suppliers.

• Works closely with internal staff to resolve issues while observing confidentiality.

• Responsible for weekly management & reconciliation of company credit cards.

• Processes customer invoices & cash receipts.

• Performs weekly inventory reconciliations & assists with year-end physical counts.

• Assists with month-end closings & account reconciliations.

• Assists with bank reconciliations.
• Assists with external audit requests.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Experience and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• Experience in a manufacturing or job-costing environment strongly preferred
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, & financial reporting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis)
• Microsoft Office software and Windows operating system
• Familiarity with fixed assets, depreciation, cost accounting concepts, & EBIDTA
• Ability to work with large data sets & perform detailed reconciliations
• Understanding of internal controls & audit processes
• Familiarity with federal contractor requirements preferred
• Ability to thrive in a changing, fast-paced growing and dynamic business

• Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail

• Long periods of sitting

• Potentially long hours

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
