Radiology Technician

Radiology Tech Part Time El Mirador Surgery Center is hiring a part‑time Radiology Technician. The center offers a high‑quality, service‑oriented environment for surgical procedures. Job Summary The Radiology Technician will perform multiple procedures under the direction of specialized physicians, including operation of special imaging and radiology equipment. Skilled at sterile field assistance during operating room and pain management procedures. Responsibilities Perform the described duties in the primary work area and demonstrate competency in the following: Outpatient diagnostic Radiology, Fluoroscopy. Operate x‑ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body portions as specified by physician; adjust equipment for proper exposure, voltage, and current in accordance with radiation safety procedures. Prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments, and equipment; explain x‑ray procedures to patients; position patients for each anatomical view using immobilization and protective devices as required; report changes in patient condition to attending medical staff. Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies. Record amount and type of film exposed; label film with identifying information; sort as required. Consult with lead x‑ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality. Process film in accordance with standardized procedures and maintain assigned work area in a clean and orderly condition. Strong teamwork skills, utilizing “down time” to perform other assigned tasks, including room turnovers, restocking warmer, specialty carts, etc. Pay Range $38.00 - $48.00 per hour. Individual wages are determined based on qualifications and experience. Required Skills strong teamwork skills, independent decision making, ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects, excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families, familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items. Education, Training and Experience Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology. 1‑2 years of experience in C‑Arm and Portable x‑rays in operating room setting. ARRT Registered, State MRT and CPR Current. Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations. Must possess independent decision making skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects. Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families.
