Manager of Wash, Dry & Fold Services

Full-Time | Management / Production Leadership

University Cleaners is looking for a dependable, hands-on Wash, Dry & Fold Production Manager to lead our growing laundry operation in Lexington.

We are a locally owned garment-care company serving families, college students, businesses, and commercial customers throughout the Shenandoah Valley. Our Wash, Dry & Fold department processes thousands of pounds of laundry each week, and we are looking for the right person to take ownership of the department and help us continue improving quality, productivity, and service.

This is not a desk-management position . The right person will lead the team while working alongside them when necessary. You should enjoy organizing people and workflow, solving problems, maintaining high standards, and seeing measurable results at the end of the day.

As our Wash, Dry & Fold Production Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of the WDF department, including:

• Leading, training, scheduling, and motivating the WDF production team
• Organizing daily production to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time
• Monitoring production volume, labor hours, and productivity
• Maintaining high standards for washing, drying, folding, packaging, and presentation
• Making sure customer orders remain properly separated, identified, and accounted for throughout production
• Inspecting finished work and addressing quality issues before orders leave the plant
• Matching staffing levels and work schedules to daily production volume
• Training employees on proper procedures, equipment use, stain handling, folding standards, and quality expectations
• Helping the team in production during busy periods
• Identifying bottlenecks and continuously improving workflow and efficiency
• Coordinating with our plant leadership, customer-service team, and route/delivery operation
• Helping manage residential, collegiate, and commercial laundry accounts with different processing requirements
• Maintaining a clean, safe, organized production area
• Helping ensure washers, dryers, carts, tables, and other equipment are properly cared for and reporting maintenance issues promptly
• Tracking department performance and taking ownership of results

Laundry experience is helpful, but leadership ability, reliability, organization, and work ethic are more important.

Schedule: Primarily daytime production hours; some flexibility may be required based on seasonal and customer volume.

Compensation: Competitive and based on experience and demonstrated leadership ability.
