Job Description RN / Registered Nurse / ICUs (ICU Training Program) Harborview Medical Center – ICUs - outstanding opportunities for registered nurses new to ICU, with ICU Training Program. Work Schedule 90% FTE (36 hours per week), Night Shift Next planned cohort start date is September 2026. Department Description Recipients of the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence Awarded Magnet recognition by the ANCC for excellence in patient care ICU Units 2EH ICU – 20-bed ICU, caring for critically ill cardiac disease patients. 7MB ICU – 20-bed Medical ICU providing care for critically ill adult and geriatric patients with multi-system organ failure, gastrointestinal disease, blood infections/sepsis, cancer, lung disease, kidney disease, and liver disease. 9MB ICU – 24-bed Trauma Surgical ICU for patients with multi-system traumatic injuries; challenges in respiratory, thoracic, vascular, neurologic, and orthopedic care. 9EH ICU – 18-bed Burn and Pediatric Trauma ICU; regional burn center and Level 1 trauma center for WAMI Region; survival rate over 97%. 2WH ICU – 30-bed Neurosciences ICU for neurological surgery and neurology services; specialized nursing care for complex neurological deficits and injuries. Requirements RN License by employment start date Two+ years acute care RN experience desirable (entry-level/new grad RNs may also be considered for ICU training program positions; nursing technician/CNA experience in Harborview ICU, and/or senior practicum in Harborview ICU required). A current Harborview RN hired as a new grad RN in acute care must have completed a minimum two years on the initial unit as RN (other commitment timeframes may apply for certain residency areas).
