We value our professional and caring employees who are dedicated to improving people's lives and we want YOU to join our team!What you will be doing: Responsible for keeping vehicles in a clean and orderly condition and for operating vehicles for the purpose of transporting passengers and materials, in compliance with government and management directives.Essential Functions:Operate light trucks, busses and passenger vehicles; transport passengers and/or packages; ensure adherence to established schedulesMaintain vehicles for routine service, clean vehicles, check fluid levelsMaintain required driver records and reportsPerform routine vehicle equipment inspection daily, including lights, brakes, mirrors, steering and other required operating equipment; recommend mechanical repairs as neededProvide positive, quality customer services to students, staff and other center customersParticipate in student employability programs and activitiesSupport, promote, and enforce the Job Corps' Zero Tolerance PolicyPromote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventionsMaintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices.It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent and one year related experience requiredGeneral knowledge of vehicle maintenance also requiredValid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a passenger endorsement and an acceptable driving record required.Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
