Lead the daily operations of our busy campus caf and retail outlet while creating a welcoming experience for students, faculty, and staff. Prepare high-quality espresso drinks, handcrafted beverages, grab-and-go items, and fresh caf offerings. Use your culinary skills to prepare sandwiches, salads, snacks, and other retail menu items with creativity and attention to presentation. Help develop and refresh caf offerings with new ideas, seasonal specials, and appealing displays. Build genuine connections with students and become a friendly, familiar face in the campus community. Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain a positive, energetic atmosphere. Operate the POS/cash register accurately and assist with inventory, stocking, and merchandising. Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe caf while upholding the highest sanitation standards. Work independently, take initiative, and help guide the day-to-day success of our small retail operation. Collaborate with the dining team to deliver an outstanding campus dining experience.

Schedule:

• We are open 7 days a week from 8 AM- 9 PM. We work to create a schedule that works for everyone.
• Summers off!

Pay Type: $17.00 - $18.00 Hourly

• Greet guests cheerfully, answering guest questions, taking orders, accepting payments, and preparing and serving food and drinks.
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area; updating displays; and continuously expanding their knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation.
• Interact cheerfully with SAGE guests and provide service with a smile.
• Set up, clean, restock, and replenish serving lines and stations.
• Adhere to SAGE's safety and allergy prevention policies.
• Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items.
• Assist in training new Team Members.
• Adapt to additional duties as assigned by management.
• Record all transactions in the point-of-sale system.
• Collect payments by accepting cash, credit, debit, or flex dollars, per venue requirements.
• Balance bank by counting drawer at the beginning and end of shift.

Barista experience preferred. Experience in food and beverage preparation and customer service preferred. Ability to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.
