Special Education Teacher

POSITION: Special Education Teacher LOCATION: Chateaugay Central School District Description Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals, accommodations, and modifications aligned to student needs. Create and maintain a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and independence. Differentiate instruction and utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to support diverse learning needs. Collaborate with colleagues, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student success. Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, annual reviews, reevaluations, and transition planning. Implement behavioral supports, intervention plans, and classroom management strategies that foster positive student behavior. Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, needs, and educational programming. Maintain compliance with special education regulations and documentation requirements. Participate in professional development opportunities and ongoing training related to special education best practices.
