Job Title Outpatient Registered Nurse - James Care East Exam Department James | JamesCare East Exam Scope of Position The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute’s (OSUCCC-James) mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in their own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization. The outpatient RN plays a critical role in staff engagement, patient experience, quality and safety, and cost‑effective care. Position Summary The outpatient RN is responsible for managing and providing care to patients and their families, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model. Minimum Qualifications Degree in Nursing from a CCNE or ACEN accredited nursing program. Current Ohio license or interim permit. Experience in a relevant care setting preferred.
