Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. Two pivotal leave positions are available for dedicated professionals eager to make a difference near Lynn, MA.

Position A offers a role in a Therapeutic Learning Classroom (TLC) at the elementary level. This program uniquely pairs a special education teacher with a social worker and offers extensive support from a BCBA, creating an inclusive, collaborative environment. There is potential for a valuable period of overlap with the incumbent educator, supporting a smooth transition and continuity for the students. Experience or training in trauma-informed education, particularly for elementary learners, will be especially beneficial. The anticipated start date is December 9, 2026 (with potential for an earlier start), extending through the end of the school year in June 2027.

Position B is a middle school assignment beginning as soon as possible through the end of the school year. More details will be shared as they become available, but interested candidates should hold the appropriate licensure and a passion for working with diverse student populations.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts Special Education license for the appropriate grade level
• Prior experience in trauma-informed instructional practices (especially for elementary setting, for role A)
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Adaptability and positive approach to supporting students with varying needs
• Experience in a co-taught or multi-disciplinary environment is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction based on student goals
• Work closely with social workers, BCBA, and other team members
• Participate in IEP development and implementation
• Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom community
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff
