Procurement Consultant

IT Procurement Consultant – Indirect Procurement
Location: Plano, TX (Hybrid) Work Schedule: Onsite weekly (Tuesday + as needed); Remote (Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri) 12 + month contract
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute multi-year sourcing strategies for indirect spend categories
- Lead RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes with cross-functional stakeholders
- Support contract development and execution (NDAs, SaaS, software licensing, professional services agreements)
- Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to identify improvement opportunities and enhance service delivery
- Conduct spend analysis, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
- Negotiate pricing and contracts to achieve cost savings and risk mitigation
- Manage sourcing activities, supplier interactions, and ad hoc procurement requests
- Utilize SAP Ariba P2P system to review requests and issue purchase orders
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in indirect procurement / strategic sourcing
- Hands-on experience with RFP, RFQ, and RFI processes
- Mandatory experience with SAP Ariba (P2P system)
- Experience in facilities management, IT, or technology procurement
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in indirect sourcing/procurement
- Experience in contract negotiation and drafting
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
- Experience in automotive industry
- Experience working in large, cross-functional, global teams
