Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide specialized perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, well-versed in sterile techniques, and able to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all sterile equipment and supplies are ready and comply with safety protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and respond swiftly to any intraoperative emergencies.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to uphold patient safety and optimize surgical outcomes.
• Document procedures accurately, including patient information, medications administered, and intraoperative events.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current nursing license valid in the state of assignment.
• Possess at least two years of recent experience in an operating room setting.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Have NIH Stroke Certification prior to start date.
• Be willing to work flexible shifts, including evenings and call hours, with prior notification.
