FULL DESCRIPTION:   We are seeking a Purchasing Data Entry Clerk to support purchasing, order entry, quote entry, expediting, reporting, vendor communication, and administrative support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This contract role is responsible for assisting buyers with order entry, rescheduling, expediting requests, tracking orders, preparing reports, and helping reduce a large backlog of purchasing-related work. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, high-volume data entry experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and vendors.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Assisting buyers with order entry, rescheduling, and expediting requests
• Tracking orders to ensure timely delivery
• Following up as needed to confirm order changes
• Supporting quote entry and quick-turn order entry as needed
• Preparing reports for review
• Taking action on reports based on department needs
• Interfacing with the company's supply base daily
• Communicating with vendors by email, phone, Teams, or in person as needed
• Supporting purchasing-related data entry and clerical tasks
• Helping update backlog items accurately and efficiently
• Communicating with internal departments to support purchasing and order needs
• Maintaining accurate purchasing, order, quote, and vendor information
• Managing time effectively while supporting a high-volume workload
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Supporting department workflow and administrative needs as assigned
• Performing other duties as requested and required

The selected candidate will also possess:

• Administrative experience required
• High-volume data entry experience required
• Strong attention to detail required
• Purchasing, order entry, quoting, or supply chain support experience preferred
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred
• Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Strong math skills required
• Ability to work effectively with others required
• Ability to interface with vendors and internal departments professionally
• Ability to manage time well and prioritize tasks
• Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to support a large backlog of data entry and purchasing-related tasks
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Team-player mindset
• Dependable, proactive, and detail-oriented work habits
• Ability to work onsite in White City, OR
• Ability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Ability to support a contract opportunity

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
• Ability to communicate by phone, email, Teams, and in person throughout the workday
• Ability to review purchase orders, quotes, reports, vendor information, order details, spreadsheets, emails, and computer screens for extended periods
• Ability to use hands and fingers for typing, data entry, documentation, reporting, order entry, quote entry, and standard office tasks
• Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the office or manufacturing environment as needed
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move standard office files, documents, or supplies
• Ability to work in an office and manufacturing-support environment while following applicable safety procedures

Salary Range: $19/hour
