Senior Construction Manager

Role Description The Senior Construction Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Columbus, OH, responsible for overseeing telecommunications construction projects from planning through closeout. This role coordinates field activities, manages subcontractors and internal crews, and ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and within budget. Daily responsibilities include reviewing project plans and permits, scheduling and sequencing work, monitoring progress, and resolving site issues in real time. The Senior Construction Manager will track costs, approve invoices, and support accurate forecasting and reporting for project stakeholders. This role also leads on-site safety programs, conducts site inspections, mentors construction teams, and collaborates with design, engineering, and permitting teams to deliver high-quality buildouts. Qualifications Strong supervisory skills, including leading field crews, coordinating subcontractors, and mentoring team members. Proficiency in budgeting and project financial management, including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis. Experience in construction and telecommunications infrastructure, with the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and permits. Knowledge of construction safety practices, regulations, and on-site enforcement of safety programs. Project control skills, including scheduling, progress tracking, risk mitigation, and documentation management. Proven experience as a Construction Manager or Senior Construction Manager, preferably in telecommunications or utility construction. Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, internal teams, vendors, and authorities having jurisdiction. Ability to work on-site daily in Columbus, OH, with occasional travel to project locations as needed. Proficiency with construction management software, spreadsheets, and project reporting tools. High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
