Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit

Days (0700-1930) every other weekend

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Progressive Care Unit provides direct care or influences care for acutely ill patients who are moderately stable with an elevated risk for instability. The PCU provides care through advanced knowledge and experience in a setting that supports advanced monitoring, assessments, and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to those in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Conduct advanced monitoring and assessments of patient conditions.
• Implement appropriate interventions based on patient assessments.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
• AHA ACLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• PCU and basic EKG experience preferred.
• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required due to the College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements for moderate complexity testing.
