Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist registered with the NBRC for a 13-week day shift contract at a hospital in New York State.

Details

• 12-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM–6:30 PM
• 3 shifts per week
• 13-week contract
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited school for Respiratory Care
• NY State Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NRP and PALS preferred
• Knowledge of acid/base/electrolyte relationships and their implications in life-threatening situations
• Proficiency in establishing patient ventilator settings using metric measurements and advanced principles of volume, flow, pressure, and time relationships
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• 2 references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager required for consideration — must be from within the past year and within the respiratory therapy specialty
