PT - Physical Therapist

Outpatient Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

5x8.0 - 3 long days (10 hours) and 2 short days (5 hours).

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying tailored treatment plans based on patients' needs and physician direction. The therapist will oversee all discipline-specific therapy services assigned to these patients, ensuring functional treatment programs facilitate effective return to community activities. This role includes educating patients, families, students, and peers while maintaining compliance with the organization's Mission Statement and Core Values.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
  • Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals aimed at progressing patients toward discharge.
  • Document care in an accurate, clear, and timely manner, inclusive of goal writing and charge entry, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide oversight for therapy services under valid physician orders and adhere to insurance approvals as necessary.
  • Participate in student programs, creating a positive learning environment through supervision and mentorship.
  • Develop an individualized professional growth plan, actively pursuing continuing education and applying learned information in practice.
  • Maintain professional licensure and uphold ethical standards in accordance with practice regulations.
  • Contribute to performance improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

  • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
  • Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
  • Current CPR certification.
