Maintenance & Reliability Manager – Oil and Gas Operations Monitoring & Lifecycle Performance Support (DOE0048048) • Remote (United States) with occasional on‑site meetings. • Exempt 1099 contract – no overtime. • Contracted through ProSidian for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office (LPO). • Focus: Oil and Gas, Power, and Utilities sector projects, providing independent engineering advisory services to support funding decisions and lifecycle oversight. Job Overview As a senior consultant, you will deliver bankable, technically defensible independent engineering services. You will convert discipline‑specific findings into lender‑ready due diligence products, including reliability and maintenance strategy assessments, risk mitigation plans, and performance monitoring reports for DOE and other stakeholders. Responsibilities Conduct technical due diligence and credit evaluation for large‑scale energy infrastructure projects. Evaluate maintenance programs, reliability strategies, asset availability, and operational resilience. Prepare reliability‑based maintenance plans, maintenance KPIs, backlog reviews, downtime analysis, and improvement plans. Document findings in RCM/FMEA outputs and other lender‑ready deliverables. Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, construction, operations, environmental, HSE, and project controls teams. Support lender and DOE decision‑making through data‑room reviews, site observations, risk register updates, and independent engineering reports. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in engineering, construction, operations, compliance, risk, finance, or energy infrastructure advisory. Demonstrated work on oil and gas, power, utilities, or large‑scale infrastructure projects for owners, lenders, or federal clients. Strong knowledge of reliability engineering, maintenance strategy, failure modes, and operational availability. Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, construction management, business, risk management, finance, or related field. Certifications such as PMP, CQA, CIA, ISO Lead Auditor, CHMM, CSP, PMI‑RMP preferred. Skills Required Independent engineering review and U.S. DOE LPO documentation style. Data‑room review, information request tracking, and report writing. Excel‑based analysis and stakeholder coordination. Clear presentation of findings for credit, construction, monitoring, and certification decisions. Competencies Required Technical judgment, independence, and objectivity. Analytical rigor, attention to detail, and defensible documentation. Client service orientation and cross‑functional collaboration.
