Company Allegheny Health Network Job Description This job serves as a Physician liaison and a resource for others in the department. Performs imaging procedures within applicable scope and standards of practice and in accordance with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Delivers a positive patient experience and serves as a role model for the Core Behaviors. Collaborates with AHN leadership, staff, physician offices and designated external agencies and vendors. Essential Responsibilities Performs all essential job responsibilities of a Mammography Technologist, including but not limited to performing age‑specific diagnostic imaging per established protocols. Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, physicians and other team members. Addresses patient and physician concerns. Responds to adverse events and/or any changes with patient’s status. (50%) Acts as a day‑to‑day mentor/resource for staff and others within the department. Orients and trains new staff and students. (20%) Performs and/or trains others relative to quality assurance activities, quality control, and regulatory testing and accreditation preparation/documentation. (10%) Participates in standardization activities and process improvement initiatives with system‑level workgroups. (10%) Demonstrates proficiency in the performance of specialty exams and analyzes data promptly to resolve problems and improve efficiency.
