Desktop Support Technician

About the job Desktop Support Technician We are seeking a solution-focused and customer-oriented Desktop Support Technician to join our team in an onsite capacity. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for employees experiencing technology-related issues, providing hands-on technical support and ensuring our systems, devices, and network infrastructure remain reliable and efficient. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who enjoys working directly with people and technology. You should be comfortable diagnosing technical issues, configuring equipment, maintaining IT systems, and explaining technical solutions in a clear and approachable manner. What You'll Do As a Desktop Support Technician, you will: Provide hands-on onsite technical support for employees, workstations, and IT equipment. Receive, document, prioritize, and resolve hardware and software support requests. Diagnose and troubleshoot desktop, laptop, printer, network, and connectivity issues. Configure and deploy new computers, routers, modems, peripherals, and other IT equipment. Install, configure, update, and maintain operating systems and business applications. Perform routine inspections, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of existing IT installations. Provide both onsite and remote technical assistance when required. What We're Looking For The successful candidate will have: An Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field . A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is strongly preferred . Previous experience as a Desktop Support Technician, IT Support Specialist, Help Desk Technician, or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, networks, and troubleshooting. Experience configuring, installing, upgrading, and maintaining computers and related equipment. Familiarity with TeamViewer or other remote-support platforms . EIS
