Your Day-to-Day as an Electrical and Instrumentation Tech. You’ll be:
- Inspect, test, adjust, calibrate, and repair electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems used for monitoring and recording.
- Check meters, indicators, and gauges for abnormal fluctuations.
- Maintain a solid understanding of both software and hardware operations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on all control instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures.
- Complete work order cycles by performing tasks, confirming time spent, and entering equipment history.
- Diagnose current or potential issues with plant electrical equipment.
- Clean, lubricate, calibrate, and adjust equipment as necessary.
- Lay out, install, and put electrical equipment into service.
- Perform housekeeping duties as requested, ensuring that the designated area remains clean and free of safety hazards.
- Possess a multi-craft skill set; the ability to perform additional maintenance tasks as assigned is a plus.
What you’ll bring:
To excel in this vital role, you’ll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A technical degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience is necessary.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
- Responsible for maintaining and adjusting equipment to maximize production and minimize downtime.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is essential; familiarity with Programmable
- Logic Controllers, Servo, and Frequency Drives is also required.
- A professional attitude and the ability to work well with others are essential.
- Must promote a safe working environment and adhere to all workplace and job safety procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping within the facility.
- Willingness to work shifts that may include weekends, nights, and holidays is required.
