Position Overview Human Resources Expert is part of the Human Resource team committed to supporting teams and leaders to build a sales force that is passionate about exceeding guests’ expectations and a place where teams love to work. Key Responsibilities Understanding federal, state and local employment laws Using basic Microsoft Office Suite and workforce management programs Effectively using scheduling software Creating an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: Greet (friendly, smile, make eye contact, wave), help guests find needs, resolve issues for smooth shopping, end transactions with a sincere thank you. Actively support team efforts and assist peers with a positive and respectful attitude. Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience. Work with HR leader to anticipate and address talent and staffing needs, ensuring the right mix of experience and skills. Lead focused recruiting to help store leaders hire candidates. Support team member and leader training needs and advocate continuous learning. Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices. Be approachable and available by listening to team members and collaborating with appropriate leaders to take action as needed. Deliver on all Human Resources processes and programs to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption. Support your leader in following company compliance policies that mitigate risk to the team member experience. Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance. Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible. All other duties based on business needs. Qualifications You enjoy interacting and helping others – including guests that shop our store and fellow team members you work with. You thrive in a fast‑moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem‑solving are key to success. You are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times). Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members. Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed. Effective communication skills. Work both independently and with a team. Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot. Attention to detail and follow multi‑step processes. Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes. Physical Requirements Accurately handle cash register operations as needed. Frequently lift or move merchandise up to 10pounds and occasionally up to 44pounds, without additional assistance from others. Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive‑Up, carry‑out, etc. Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary). Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks.
