Project Overview:

Louisiana LNG is located approximately 11 miles southwest of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The project includes a mid-scale, mixed-refrigerant Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River. There are five identical process plants. Each process plant consists of one gas pre-treatment unit, one condensate stabilization unit, and four Chart heavy hydrocarbon (HHC) removal and liquefaction groups. The facility will include associated utilities, refrigerant storage, three 235,000m3 full-containment LNG storage tanks, and three marine berths.

Job Summary:

The Electrical Field Engineerwill report to the Lead Electrical Field Engineer.This individual is responsible for providing technical assistance, direction, and support tofield supervision for construction and installation activities for all disciplines associated with the ISBL equipment and materials. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule if required, including,but not limited to nightshift, split shift, or day shift. #LI-BH1

Major Responsibilities:

Work Planning & Packaging

• Prepares construction drawings and sketches.
• Facilitates planning construction methods and procedures.

Material Management

• Initiates requisitions for field purchases
• Prepares quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment.

Quantities

• Verifies commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required.

Safety / Quality Control

• Ensures zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely.

Technical

• Proactively considers continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities

System Turnover Coordinator

For Direct Hire

• Develops firm understanding of system and area scoping and drawings required for package development.

STR / Subcontract Coordinator

• Reviews and approves inspection test plans,
• Coordinates reviews of subcontractor submittals.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Required bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Construction experience assigned to a construction site.
• Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
• Displays effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner.
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Good Knowledge and Understanding of engineering systems, applications of startup and operations; and previous experience in Commissioning roles.
• Broad knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to startup, maintenance, operations, or testing.
• Possesses effective communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans in a clear and concise manner.
• Collaborates well in a team environment.
• Good leadership skills & able to provide technical guidance for testing, startup, and operations activities.
• Good knowledge in MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and other relevant Bechtel used applications (Aconex, Set Route).
• Understands project workflows from design, estimation, construction administration and coordination, and fabrication.

Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities:extensive walking in and around a construction site often in high heat and high humidity conditions, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces.Some lifting may be required.Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress).Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc.).
