About the Role Join Bodewell, the official service team of GE Appliances, as an Appliance Care Expert. Benefits Annual wage increases and uncapped incentive opportunities Service van, laptop computer, and smartphone provided Uniforms, work boots, and specialized tools Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance from day one 401K plan and tuition reimbursement Paid vacation and paid holidays Career growth opportunities and continuous technical training Competitive hourly rates: $24–$34+ base, depending on experience, certifications, and location Responsibilities Diagnose and complete in‑home repairs on GE appliances Use sound judgment to recommend repair vs replacement based on cost‑effectiveness and customer needs, prioritizing repairs whenever practical Promote and sell service contracts, water filters, and related products, focusing on value‑driven solutions and the best customer experience Operate an assigned Bodewell service van to customer locations Accurately document repairs, routes, and work activities Participate in training sessions, meetings, and events to maintain industry expertise Manage inventory and maintenance of your service vehicle Deliver high‑quality service and maintain strong customer satisfaction Follow all safety protocols to protect yourself and others Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED 1+ year of experience with appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances Excellent customer service and communication skills with a responsive, professional approach Basic computer aptitude, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some Saturdays Valid state driver’s license and successful completion of background check, physical, and drug screen Willingness to obtain CFC certification within 6 months Wear uniform and maintain personal grooming and appearance standards consistent with GE Appliance values Self‑directed, solid team player with de‑escalation abilities Ability to perform essential functions, including stepping in and out of a van, sitting for extended periods, handling parts that may be hot, cold, or wet, using powered hand tools and occasional vibratory tools, and lifting materials up to 77 lbs while pushing or pulling 70 lbs Preferred Qualifications At least 6 months of experience with refrigeration repair Experience using Salesforce or a similar customer‑relationship management system CFC certification or an associate’s degree in a related field Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and other service information Equal Opportunity Statement GE Appliances is a trust‑based organization and an Equal Opportunity Employer.
