Location: South Burlington, VT (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Salary: $120,000–$178,000 Base + 5% Bonus

⚡ Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of high-power AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion systems. This is a senior-level technical role with exposure to customers, product development, and cross-functional engineering teams.

⚡ Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-power AC/DC, DC/DC, inverter, and rectifier systems
• Lead projects from concept through testing, qualification, and production
• Work across hardware, firmware, controls, and mechanical engineering teams
• Support system integration, troubleshooting, and product validation
• Interface with customers and internal stakeholders on technical requirements and solutions

⚡ Qualifications

• Experience designing high-power AC/DC or DC/DC power electronics systems
• Background in power conversion products such as BESS, EV charging, UPS, renewable energy, or grid-connected systems
• Experience with embedded controls, C/C++, and MATLAB/Simulink
• Knowledge of PWM, PLL, PID control strategies
• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with customers

⚡ Preferred Experience

• SiC or GaN power devices
• DSPs, FPGAs, or real-time controllers
• Magnetics design, EMI/EMC mitigation, and thermal management
• Exposure to IEEE 1547, UL 1741, IEC 62109, or NEC standards

Ideal Backgrounds: Power Electronics, Energy Storage (BESS), EV Charging, Renewable Energy, Data Center Power Infrastructure, Industrial Power Systems, or Defense Power Applications.
