Registered Nurse - Oncology

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Oncology RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cancer treatment. They collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, effective care while maintaining compliance with clinical standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer chemotherapy and biological therapies according to established protocols.
• Monitor patients' responses to treatments and manage adverse effects.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records.
• Provide patient education on medication, treatment processes, and side effect management.
• Assist with floating to other infusion centers as needed within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with all facility policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Must hold an active RN license in the state of practice; pending licenses accepted if in-hand by Wednesday before start date.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in oncology or infusion nursing preferred.
• Current BLS certification required; Chemo/Bio provider card (ONS) required.
• Experience with cellular therapies (stem cell/CART) preferred.
• Ability to float within scope of practice and adapt to different clinical settings.
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with Epic or similar EHR systems.
