Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

Surgical NP/PA Opportunity Upper Hudson Valley, NY - Located in Hudson, NY - Full-time, permanent positionA healthcare system in the Upper Hudson Valley region of Upstate New York is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its growing surgical practice. This position offers a collaborative work environment with a team of experienced surgeons and advanced practice providers. Position Highlights: - Primary Role : First assist in gynecologic and general surgical cases, with occasional involvement in other surgical subspecialties - Responsibilities : - Surgical first assist - Immediate pre-op and post-op orders - Rounding on inpatients - Performing surgical consults in the Emergency Department and inpatient floors - Ensuring the surgical schedule is completed efficiently and safely - Work Environment : - Setting : Outpatient - Team : 3 general surgeons, 3 gynecologic surgeons, 2 full-time surgical PAs, and 1 first-assist NP - Schedule : 40 hours per week - Call : Rotating basis for emergent OR cases only Requirements: - Completion of an accredited NP or PA program - Current licensure as an NP or PA in New York - Surgical first assist experience preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits: - Hospital-employed position - Competitive Salary : Negotiable base salary with incentive package - Comprehensive Benefits Package : - Occurrence malpractice coverage - Health insurance (individual and family) - CME and professional dues allowance - Paid time off - Disability coverage - Retirement plans About the Community: Located two hours north of New York City and 45 minutes south of Albany , this area offers year-round outdoor activities , a vibrant arts and cultural scene , and a welcoming community .
