This role focuses on trimming excess plastic from molded products and performing basic assembly using hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment. You will work on your feet throughout the shift, handle repetitive tasks with precision, and contribute to the efficient production of high-quality plastic components.

Responsibilities

• Trim excess plastic from molded products using hand tools and designated equipment to meet quality and safety standards.
• Use power drills to drill holes in plastic components to prepare them for assembly.
• Perform basic assembly of plastic parts using hand and power tools, following work instructions and production specifications.
• Handle general production tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
• Lift, carry, and move materials and products weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Stand for extended periods and perform frequent bending and twisting as required by the production process.
• Follow safety procedures and proper use of hand and power tools to ensure a safe work area.
• Support general labor duties as needed to keep production lines running smoothly.

Essential Skills

• Experience with general production or manufacturing work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to use power tools, including power drills, for trimming and assembly tasks.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and machinery.
• Experience performing general labor tasks, including lifting and moving materials.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work such as standing, bending, and twisting for the duration of the shift.
• Reliability and willingness to follow instructions and safety guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Background in assembly, construction, or similar hands-on roles.
• Comfort working around molding machines and industrial equipment.
• Ability to adapt to different work areas within the production facility as needed.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing facility with molding machines and general production equipment. Noise levels can be high due to molding machines and other equipment, so hearing protection may be required. Employees work on their feet for most of the shift and perform frequent lifting, bending, and twisting. The facility supports the use of one earbud to listen to music while working, contributing to a more relaxed atmosphere within a busy, fast-paced production setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maple Lake, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
