Credit Processor Waynesboro, VA, US Salary Range: $22.19 to $26.11 Hourly This role is on-site at our Waynesboro, VA location. DuPont Community Credit Union (DCCU) is seeking qualified candidates for a Credit Processor to join the Consumer Credit department. DCCU aims to help members achieve financial success by aligning them with the right products and services to make a difference in their lives. Responsibilities Provide loan decisions and/or credit recommendations based on a review of underwriting criteria. Educate and provide courteous, timely, and effective support to DCCU employees on Consumer Lending functions, including Home Equity processing, title record management, and loan quality control. Ensure consumer loans are documented in compliance with current Credit Union policies and procedures. Maintain knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, including applicable state and federal requirements. Serve as a subject matter expert in real estate lending, focusing on processing and document preparation for Home Equity loan requests. Coordinate with vendors, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), auto dealers, and other external partners as needed. Facilitate and perform administrative duties related to Debt Protection and GAP claims, ensuring accurate and efficient administration of related programs. Support operational excellence by ensuring lending processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1–2 years of experience in Consumer Loan Products preferred. Excellent attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Courtious and friendly member-relations skills. Problem solving and decision-making abilities. Basic mathematics skills. Ability to handle confidential files. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
