Job Summary
Emergency Room Holding Area Nurse Central City, Nebraska. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in the emergency room holding area with a focus on acute patient management, patient observation, and coordination with the emergency department team. The role requires flexibility to float between the holding area and the emergency department as needed.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, scheduled to work every 3rd weekend, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program; Nevada license in good standing; BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications; 1 year of RN experience in Emergency Room or equivalent; Ability to float to ER and other units as needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic electronic medical records; charge nurse experience; familiarity with CAH (Critical Access Hospital) ER protocols; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with complex patient needs.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be able to maintain effective communication with staff and patients, demonstrate critical thinking skills, and adhere to hospital and unit policies. The orientation will be conducted alongside another RN and includes Epic training.
• Float: Float rotation may be required for this position.
