- Choosing the right sheet metals to use for a project based on the plan or blueprints
- Precisely measuring sheet metal and marking it at the proper places to comply with required specifications
- Using cutting tools to prepare sheet metal for use in subsequent steps in manufacturing or as-is installation
- Shaping, drilling and bending sheet metal to fabricate parts or components
- Installing metal sheets on construction sites
- Welding, bolting, brazing and soldering sheet metal to join pieces together
- ...Fasten seams or joints together with welds, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, or bonds to assemble components into products or to repair sheet metal items.
