Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support pharmacy operations as a Staff Pharmacist in a well-structured, contract role offering 24-30 hours per week. This position requires dedication to quality pharmaceutical care during weekday and weekend shifts in the East Saint Louis, IL area.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Sunday: Emergency orders only (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM on-call, compensated at $8/hour)
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill, check, and verify prescriptions to ensure patient safety
- Provide counseling to patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and adherence
- Manage typical retail pharmacy duties efficiently and professionally
- Respond to emergency orders during Sunday on-call hours
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Illinois Pharmacy License required
- PharmD degree preferred
- Experience with PioneerRx pharmacy software is highly valued
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
