Job Opportunity – Cardiologist (Locum Tenens) – West Virginia

Start Date: ASAP (emergency need with immediate privileging available)

Location: West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 2-3 weeks of coverage per month, 6-month assignment with option to extend. Clinic hours Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. When on hospital call, clinic hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM; Tuesday and Thursday full clinic day. 24-hour call coverage (minimal night-time calls).

Highlights:

• Patient volume of 22-24 patients per day (30-minute appointments for new patients, 15 minutes for established patients)
• Comprehensive cardiology practice including evaluation and management, cardiac risk assessment, EKGs, Holter monitor placements, pacemaker checks, TEEs, and cardioversions
• Supervision of treadmill stress tests and nuclear stress testing
• Supported by experienced techs and RNs
• Adult patient population (18+)
• IMLC accepted for expedited licensing; clean background required

Requirements:

• Valid West Virginia state medical license or IMLC eligibility
• Board Certification in Cardiology
• Active DEA certification
• Current State Repository (CSR) required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiology experience
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation, TEE, and nuclear stress testing
• Clean background check required
