School-Based Therapist (Independent Contractor)

Job Overview Devereux is seeking a School-Based Therapist to provide outpatient counseling services to children and families in Orange and Osceola Counties, FL. This independent contractor role offers flexible scheduling and free supervision hours to help clinicians progress toward licensure. The therapist will travel to schools and community sites to conduct in-person and virtual sessions, develop individualized treatment plans, and complete required clinical documentation. Location Schools in Orange and Osceola Counties, FL; travel to community schools and coordination with local partners is required. Responsibilities Conduct individual, family, and group therapy sessions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Complete required clinical documentation and progress notes. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to review client treatment, goals, progress, and future needs. Travel to schools and community sites for in-person and virtual sessions. Qualifications Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychology. License eligible in the state of Florida; licensure in progress (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW) accepted. Availability during business hours for training and meetings with the Supervisor and for afterschool hours to accommodate school-aged clients. Successful completion of background and medical screenings, including drug test, TB test, and a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida. Other Requirements Must be available during business hours for training and meetings with the Supervisor; must also be available for afterschool hours to accommodate school-aged clients. Successfully complete background and medical screenings: Drug Test and TB Test. Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida.
