Accounts Payable Specialist Our client, a well-established healthcare organization in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing finance team! Position: Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Bridgeport, CT Schedule: 100% Onsite About the Company: Established healthcare organization dedicated to providing high-quality patient care throughout the region Experiencing steady growth through the expansion of multiple outpatient locations Collaborative and mission-driven culture that values teamwork and employee development Stable organization with a long-tenured leadership team and strong financial performance Opportunities for career advancement within the accounting and finance department Comprehensive benefits package and supportive work environment Responsibilities: Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation Research and resolve invoice discrepancies while communicating with vendors and internal departments Ensure invoices receive proper approvals and are processed in accordance with company policies Prepare and process weekly payment runs, including ACH, wire, and check payments Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances Assist with month-end close by preparing AP reconciliations and supporting schedules Maintain organized electronic records and ensure compliance with internal controls Qualifications: 3+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Solid understanding of accounting principles and General Ledger coding Experience with an ERP system is a plus
