Process Engineer

Job Description – Process Engineer Location: Houston, TX Employment Type: Direct Hire The Process Engineer will support the design and execution of complex energy and industrial process facilities. This individual will be responsible for process design development, system optimization, and technical support throughout engineering, construction, and startup phases. Key Responsibilities Develop and review process design deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and process narratives Perform process simulations, calculations, and system evaluations Support equipment sizing and specification in coordination with mechanical, rotating, and electrical teams Participate in HAZOPs, safety reviews, and design risk assessments Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and startup activities Interface with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with design intent Support troubleshooting and optimization of process systems Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline 7+ years of experience in process engineering for large industrial, energy, or chemical facilities Strong experience with process modeling, PFDs, and P&IDs Experience supporting projects through execution and startup preferred Knowledge of process safety practices and regulatory requirements Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
