Territory Sales Manager

Client is a global manufacturer of engineered and fabricated metal products into manufacturing, heavy industry, commercial/industrial construction, warehousing, etc.

Territory: Covers southern TX through southern LA.

Will be primarily in-office when not out visiting customers

KEY/MUST HAVE!

• Experience with B2B technical engineered products
• Selling/Managing "Turnkey" capital projects of $50k - $200k
• Turnkey Project Sales - no selling a thing! A technical solution
• Able to/comfortable with going to sites, climbing on roofs, etc

  Travel percent: 30% or so

  Work type : Combination of account management plus "hunter" type sales, technical project tracking. There are many accounts in the pipeline and many qualified leads. With the size of the territory, visiting existing customers/targets will be a significant part of the job.

  There is a full team of engineers, inspection personnel, logistics, etc, to back you up

  Compensation: Approximately $85k and uncapped commission. OTE is approx $130k; after that approx $145,000 - uncapped (really - it realistically goes a lot higher)

  Serving :

  Construction, oil/gas/refining/chemicals, power/utilities, mining/cement, manufacturing, warehouses, more.

  Position :

• B2B outside sales - Combination of consultative sales and account management
• You will sell Turnkey Projects , not items! So - inspection, engineering, manufacturing, installation/construction
• Work with company-provided qualified leads and customers; find some of own, pursue all
• Perform site surveys to address ANSI (and OSHA) compliance issues
• Prepare detailed quotations for site-specific engineered products to address issues
• Work with company engineering, project managers, inside sales and logistics to deliver a seamless experience
• Resolve issues such as shipping/logistics, credit, engineering, etc, that get in the way
• Leverage construction tracking tools and market analysis to generate new business.
• Track all relevant activities in CRM (training provided)

  Career Track : This position works under a senior sales person as part of career development to become fully outside hybrid/remote

  Requirements :

• 4+ years of experience selling engineered custom "solutions" - combination of products, service etc.
• Skilled with technical/consultative selling - so find value, not just price.
• Excellent communication skills - on sites, with customers, in presentations, etc
• Willing/able to climb around operating manufacturing plants, warehouses, etc
• Work with engineering plans or similar
