Along with delivering food and keeping the dining area running smoothly, they build relationships by learning preferences, building connections, and making sure everyone feels comfortable and cared for. It’s a mix of hospitality, teamwork, and genuine human connection.What You’ll DoComply with established policies, procedures, and standards, including the Compliance Program/Code of ConductFollow Residents’ Rights policies at all timesMaintain confidentiality regarding all resident information, conditions, and family mattersFollow federal, state, and local regulations governing food handling, storage, and work environmentComply with established dietary standards of food safetyPrepare condiments, desserts, garnishes, salads, and beveragesServe residents’ meals in various dining venuesGreet residents, staff, and customers; take food orders and serve meals following dining venue protocols and service standardsHandle leftovers properly as assignedAssist with set-up and service of special eventsWash and sanitize work stations and café tablesRestock work stations and café service areasAssist with dishwashing, pots, and pansMeet meal schedules and maintain timely serviceWork cooperatively with food service staff and other departmentsAttend in-service training programs for Dining Services employeesObserve infection control procedures related to Dining ServicesPerform quality assurance duties as assignedCollaborate with residents, resident representatives, staff, physicians, consultants, and ancillary service providersPerform all duties efficiently, timely, and professionallyPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedWhat We’re Looking ForAbility to read menus and understand measurements and categories of food for special dietsEfficient, organized, and detail-orientedTreat residents with kindness, cheerfulness, and respectWillingness to train and participate in ongoing staff development programsIdentify with and promote the Mission and Philosophy of Garden Spot CommunitiesMust work scheduled weekends and holidaysAdditional InformationThis position is part-time 2-3 days per week 10:30am-2:30pm plus every other weekend!Why You’ll Love Working at Garden Spot At Garden Spot Village, you’ll be part of a purpose-driven team committed to compassion, respect, and integrity.
