Rusty Hooks Dockside Grill is looking for a passionate and skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team in the charming coastal town of Southport, NC. If you thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment and take pride in putting out great food, come be part of a team that brings bold flavors and good vibes to every plate. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift
- Operate and manage assigned station during high-volume service
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth, timely food production
- Monitor food inventory, freshness, and proper storage procedures
- Follow all food safety and health code regulations
- Assist with prep work, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar kitchen role preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe a plus)
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
