Overview
Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) – Burlington, VT – Start 09/03/2026 – 4 weeks – $1,971-$2,116 per week – 0 guaranteed hours – 12-hour night shifts – travel assignment in an inpatient care setting

Responsibilities
- Deliver routine and critical respiratory care to adult inpatients, including ICU and ED patients; manage ventilator support and airway therapies as ordered
- Assess patient needs, select appropriate therapies, adjust ventilator and treatment parameters, and monitor patient response
- Administer prescribed medications and aerosolized therapies; perform airway clearance techniques and suctioning as indicated
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR system (Epic) and communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to coordinate care for patients with complex respiratory needs
- Participate in teaching hospital workflows, maintain competency with latest guidelines, and adhere to unit policies
- Shift schedules may include weekends; no routine call; maintain flexibility to meet patient and unit needs
- Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards; complete bi-weekly orientations on Mondays

Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license; CRT not accepted
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NBRC Verification, NRP
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
- Ability to work in an inpatient, fast-paced setting; eligible for nights and weekend coverage
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute to the work location; accurate and complete work history required for submission
