The Opportunity Description We're looking for an Underwriter - Remote , working in Insurance industry in Agate, Colorado, United States . Produces high volumes of work with consistent quality and accuracy. Trains and mentors new underwriters to ensure understanding of underwriting practices and procedures. Underwrites Life and Disability Income insurance applications in alignment with company policies. Reviews contestable claims to identify potential misrepresentation. Performs data entry and maintains records in the underwriting tracking system. Evaluates and reviews non-standard applications and supporting documents for compliance. Differentiates and manages requirements for multiple associations with varying criteria. Identifies the need for additional documentation and requests relevant information as necessary. Determines applicant eligibility for plans based on underwriting criteria. Communicates effectively with internal teams and Third-Party Administrators regarding underwriting procedures and insurance policies. Our Client Experience Required for Your Success Bachelor's degree preferred 3-5+ years Medical Underwriting experience required Extensive knowledge of Medical Underwriting for Life Insurance Disability knowledge is preferred; however, appropriate training will be provided in absence of that experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Data entry skills What Do You Think?
