Advanced Practice Provider- Walk-In Clinic

Overview Walk-In Clinic Location: Chicago Heights Organization: Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group Position Overview Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group is seeking experienced and motivated Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants) to join a high-volume walk-in clinic in Chicago Heights. This role focuses on providing same-day, episodic care for a broad range of acute and non-emergent conditions in an outpatient setting. Providers will work independently and collaboratively within a supportive clinical team to deliver efficient, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The clinic operates on 12‑hour shifts (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM), offering flexible scheduling and extended access to care for the community. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients presenting to a walk‑in clinic for acute and non‑emergent conditions Perform focused history and physical exams Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.) Diagnose and manage common conditions such as infections, minor injuries, rashes, musculoskeletal complaints, and other episodic concerns Provide treatment plans, prescribe medications, and coordinate appropriate follow‑up care Deliver patient education on diagnoses, medications, and self‑care Collaborate with supervising physicians and clinical staff as needed Document all encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Maintain compliance with clinic protocols, safety standards, and quality metrics Schedule 12‑hour shifts available Clinic hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Flexible scheduling options including weekdays, weekends, and rotating coverage Qualifications Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Active Illinois license (or eligibility to obtain) National certification in respective discipline Prior experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, or walk-in clinic settings preferred Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage a wide range of presenting complaints Comfortable working in a fast-paced, independent practice environment Excellent communication and patient care skills Experience with EMR systems preferred Preferred Experience 2+ year in urgent care, emergency medicine, retail clinic, or similar episodic care setting Pay Transparency Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is between $110,000-$125,000 plus production bonus on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
