Departmental Overview Our Emergency Departments operate 24/7 and provide stabilization and life-saving care to 95,000+ patients each year. We operate as a Level III trauma center, take care of all medical emergencies, specialize in patients with active strokes and heart attacks, work with two dozen EMS agencies, and collaborate with ED physicians, residents, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Norman Regional ED has 45 beds, Norman Regional Nine has 12 beds and Moore ED has 13 beds. We are looking for highly motivated individuals ready for a fast-paced environment who are able to deliver the best patient experience to our customers, function well in a dynamic team, and represent our health system well. Compensation / Benefits $14.29-$23.34/hr based on previous work experience Evening differential $1.50/hr. Night differential $1.75/hr. Weekend differential $1.75/hr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, scholarship opportunities, retirement plans, free parking, and opportunities for advancement Job Summary Prepare rooms and specialty care areas for patient use Assists in and accompanies patients in transfer and discharge procedures Provides patient care Performs routine treatment procedures Assist nurses/physicians with complicated treatment procedures Qualifications Education High school education or equivalent GED required Requires Nationally Registered EMT Basic or completion of one clinical semester of nursing school, or completion of a Combat Lifesaver or similar course, or equivalent relative ER experience Experience Experience preferred with the completion of an Nationally Registered EMT, Advanced or Paramedic Current experience in phlebotomy, arrhythmia recognition, and 12 lead EKG is preferred Hospital experience preferred Relative ER or Military experience preferred (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Licensure/Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment Prefer one or all of the following certifications: EMT Basic/Advanced/Paramedic Certification or Combat/Military medic training or one year of nursing school Completion of MANDT relational course required within 6 months of hire Completion of MANDT technical course preferred Schedule 7a-7p Work Shift Day Position Type Regular Full Time #J-18808-Ljbffr Norman Regional
