Incobrasa is a soybean processing and biodiesel manufacturing company in Central Illinois with roots in the industry going back over 50 years. With a long company history focused on agriculture, our business efforts expanded from Brazil to the United States in 1982. We process soybeans. Year-round, all day, every day. Our process and systems are cutting edge, consisting of our shipping & receiving facilities, high-volume grain dryer, 8 concrete 190,000 bushel silos and multiple facilities including soybean preparation, oil extraction, refinery, food-grade oil packaging and biodiesel production. We have a long-standing relationship with our suppliers of soybeans. Our soybeans are sourced from a number of local elevators and suppliers in Illinois and surrounding states.

- Animal Feed. Animal feed made from soybeans is the most important protein source used to feed farm animals. As a soybean processor, large quantities of soybean meal and soybean hull pellets are produced as a by-product of oil extraction.


- Vegetable Oil. Incobrasa operates a state-of-the-art packaging and labeling facility that features various production lines of bottled and canned vegetable oil.


- Biodiesel. Incobrasa is a member of the National Biodiesel Board. We are BQ-9000 and RFS certified, with an annual production capacity of 44 million gallons. Biodiesel is a renewable biofuel that is clean-burning and offers a replacement or supplement to regular diesel fuel.


Barge- Pekin, IL

- Incobrasa recently acquired a barge operation in Pekin. Grain barge operation is a vital component of the agricultural supply chain, facilitating the efficient transportation of bulk grain.

- We receive, store, and transport Soybeans and Corn. Our corn capacity is 1,200,000 bushels, and our soybean capacity is 1,400,000.


About the Role:

The Logistics Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective movement of agricultural products, materials, and equipment throughout the supply chain within the agriculture, forestry, fishing, and hunting industries. This position is responsible for coordinating and optimizing logistics operations including material control, shipping and receiving, and warehouse management to support operational goals. The specialist will manage both domestic and international shipping processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely delivery. Additionally, they will oversee reverse logistics processes to handle returns, recycling, and disposal in an environmentally responsible manner. Ultimately, this role ensures that all logistics activities align with business objectives, cost-efficiency, and sustainability standards to support the overall supply chain performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and experience working with logistics/transportation management systems (TMS).
• Skills: Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
• Physical & Environmental Adaptability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortable working within an active, fast-paced industrial manufacturing facility.
• Pre-Employment Screening: Candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening (including THC panel) in accordance with company policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Agribusiness, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 2-3 years of experience in logistics coordination, freight dispatching, or manufacturing supply chains. Experience in agriculture or food processing is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Freight & Shipment Coordination: Plan, schedule, and track inbound and outbound bulk freight via commercial trucks, railcars, or barges to ensure timely deliveries.
• Carrier Management: Communicate daily with freight carriers, dispatchers, and drivers to resolve shipping delays and maintain accurate arrival timelines.
• Inventory & Systems Management: Utilize specialized cargo or ERP software to manage documentation, record bills of lading (BOLs), and update product inventory logs.
• Scale House & Plant Collaboration: Coordinate closely with the Scale House Attendants and production staff to streamline the intake of raw soybeans and the distribution of finished materials.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain rigorous compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) guidelines and safety regulations relating to the transportation of industrial food products and biodiesel.
• Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve transit issues, product discrepancies, or driver concerns under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor.

Skills:

The required skills such as logistics management, material control, and warehouse management are applied daily to coordinate the flow of goods and maintain inventory accuracy, ensuring operational efficiency. Reverse logistics expertise is essential for managing returns and sustainable disposal practices, which are increasingly important in the agriculture sector. International shipping knowledge is used to navigate customs regulations and coordinate cross-border transportation, minimizing delays and costs. Supply chain management skills enable the specialist to collaborate effectively with vendors and internal teams to optimize the entire supply chain process. Additionally, familiarity with military logistics principles can enhance strategic planning and operational discipline, while proficiency in shipping and receiving ensures smooth handling of all inbound and outbound shipments.
