Work Environment\n

The outpatient office operates in a hybrid work model, enabling clinicians to provide flexible care remotely while having access to our virtual support systems when needed. You will work Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient schedules. Flexibility in scheduling is essential as patient needs can vary. Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patients' psychological well-being and inform tailored treatment strategies.

  • Develop, implement, and review individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations of patient needs and diagnoses.

  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic approaches, to facilitate effective treatment.

  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, addressing emotional concerns, fostering personal growth, and enhancing patients' coping mechanisms.

  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.

  • Provide crisis intervention services and support during mental health emergencies, demonstrating poise and professionalism under pressure.

  • Deliver psychoeducation to patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and available resources, thereby empowering them in their recovery journey.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

  • Participate actively in case conferences and team meetings to enhance collaborative care practices and professional development.

  • Stay informed on the latest research, best practices, and regulatory changes in the field of mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will engage with a diverse patient population facing varying degrees of mental health challenges. This includes children, adolescents, adults, and possibly geriatric clients. Your role is critical in delivering tailored support that addresses the unique backgrounds, needs, and circumstances of each patient, helping them achieve better mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey.
  • \n
  • An in-depth understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care approaches.
  • \n
  • Strong abilities in conducting detailed mental health assessments, making diagnoses, and formulating effective treatment plans.
  • \n
  • Experience in facilitating individual and group therapy sessions through various therapeutic techniques.
  • \n
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients and their families.
  • \n
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant software to document patient care accurately and efficiently.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with at least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting will be preferred. Experience with trauma-informed approaches and Crisis Intervention Training is a plus. Your ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations will be a significant asset in our practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n
