Physical Therapy Assistant

Be responsible to the Physical Therapist/AHHC RN Case Manager. Provide physical therapy treatment to clients in the home in the geographical area specified by Advanced Home Health Care, Inc. (AHHC). Check client’s chart prior to treatment. Follow prescribed treatment program as directed by the Physical Therapist and ordered by the client’s physician. Notify the Physical Therapist of any change in the client’s condition that may need re-evaluation by the Physical Therapist before the next scheduled co-treatment. Document daily progress record. Participate in in-services, education programs, and staff meetings. All clinic care questions should be directed to the Physical Therapist/AHHC RN Case Manager. Participates in educating the patient and family. Perform job duties as designated by the Physical Therapist. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Involves lifting up to 75 lbs. occasionally Bending, pushing, pulling, considerable walking, and constant standing required. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, as a minimum, a PTA License from an accredited college or university. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work in the client’s place of residence. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: Must have a safe, dependable vehicle with liability insurance, a current Iowa driver’s license, and a safe driving record. Must have current CPR certification.
