SUMMARY AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides strategic leadership and direction for all human resources (HR) functions for a rural Critical Access Hospital. Partners with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals, workforce sustainability, and a high-performing culture aligned with organizational mission and values. This role oversees HR operations for the organization ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational excellence in all aspects of human resources. RESPONSIBILITIES:- Serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and culture.
- Develops and implements HR strategies that align with organizational priorities, including patient care, employee engagement, and operational performance.
- Leads workforce planning initiatives to address recruitment, retention, and succession planning, with a focus on rural healthcare challenges.
- Partners with clinical and operational leaders to support recruitment of physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing, and allied health staff.
- Oversee employee relations, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and practices.
- Directs the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness within the regional healthcare market.
- Ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws and healthcare regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission).
- Leads leadership development, performance management, and organizational development initiatives.
- Oversee HR operations, including HR'S, reporting, and data analytics to support decision-making.
- Promotes a culture of respect, inclusion, and continuous improvement consistent with LRH values.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related field) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive human resources experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role required.
- Healthcare experience required; experience in a multi-site or integrated health system preferred.
- Experience supporting provider recruitment and workforce strategy strongly preferred.
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent certification preferred.
